I started going to APT three months ago for accountability with strength-training. My cardio training has always been great, but despite good intentions, I seemed to "run out of time" for core and strength. The APT trainers provide top notch personal attention in small group settings where each client has his own personalized training program. Communication between instructors is excellent, so even if you are training with a different instructor, they already know your issues/limitations, training goals, and ballpark weights. Plus they closely supervise technique to be sure you are using the best form. Week after week I can see myself getting stronger! So glad I started coming!

I joined about three months ago and I’ve had an awesome experience. I’m so much stronger and healthier. The trainers are amazing and I haven’t ever had this much fun working out. Every workout has been unique and once the trainers get to know your capabilities, they personalize the workouts so you reach your maximum potential. I also suffer from chronic back problems and I am never worried about injuring myself. Team classes are also fun and energetic. Most of all, clients and trainers are really nice and you feel a tremendous sense of community. Best gym ever!

Advantage personal training is the perfect gym. They have something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to lift heavy or simply move your body, they have the equipment and the expertise to help you meet your goals. I moved to the area from out of state and went to every gym in the area to scope out my options. On price, services, and staff - Advantage was the clear winner for focused training. Since I joined 3 months ago, I have been over 90% consistent with my workouts (life happens- I’m not striving for perfection!) and that’s mostly because I know the staff will notice if I’m not there. They care about my goals as I do and help hold me accountable to them. I’ve enjoyed both the small group and large group training. Perhaps best of all is the community and spirit of the gym. Members make an effort to welcome new members, learn your name, and foster a community of support - and that’s incredibly rare in a gym. Truly, I can’t recommend them more!!

Advantage Personal Training is fantastic. I trained with them to prepare for a 100 mile hike across Scotland. Let me not forget I was 69 when I did this. We worked on endurance, stability, and strength. It made a huge difference in my ability to tackle a hike like this and feel safe and complete it. I recommend Advantage for any kind of physical endeavor.

Best decision I ever made to join Advantage Personal Training. It's been almost a year and I'm still excited to go to small group and team classes. My body is stronger and I feel more confident and healthy. The trainers are great (Will) and have encouraged me to do more than I thought I could do!!

Advantage Personal Training has really helped me get into a routine of exercise and strength training. The various trainers have worked with me to develop an exercise program that takes into account my age and physical ability while still being challenging and showing progress. It is very good to be active and to be part of a gym that welcomes people at all levels.

Great place to work out. They have taught me so much about exercise, fitness, diet and strength training. I have been going for 2 years and have seen great results. All of the trainers are great and make modifications to the exercises if necessary for my personal needs. I highly recommend.

Questions

What to know before you start.

  • I’ve never lifted weights. Can I start?

Yes. The assessment is immediately followed by an initial workout. This workout, coupled with the movement screen, will help us determine the right level of training to begin with.

  • Do I have to work out until I’m exhausted?

No. It is our goal to be efficient in your improvements, NOT just make you tired or sore.

  • Do you have a class just for strength?

Yes. Industrial Strength is one of our three Team Training formats. Designed specifically to build strength, this training will take you through timed intervals that focus on quality and increased power through the movements.

  • How often should I train?

There can be too much of a good thing in working out. Muscle rest and recovery is essential to your strength training plan, so for optimum results we recommend limiting yourself to 3 strength training sessions/ week, and 4-5 Team Trainings per week.
